Parkside isn’t like other Birmingham bars. A former antique store turned neighborhood drinking hole, Parkside is a sight to see. The awesome, almost Tiki-hut-like bar commands attention in the main room, while the eclectic decor provides plenty of visual distractions. While the inside of bar is warm and inviting, the outside is wild and full of adventure. From water fountains and gazebos, to left-behind antiques, a stage, and a back shed with a ping pong table (you wouldn’t know it was there unless you knew it was there) Parkside has a surprise around every corner. But the best thing about Parkside is the atmosphere and the people. The overwhelming feeling is relaxed and chilled out and always welcoming.
Make sure to stop by the first Monday of every month for a potluck dinner. At Parkside, it’s guaranteed you’ll feel at home.
